Does she deserve our Empathy?

Today's Headlines - Nalini begins indefinite fast in Vellore prison

What the *$%&# ?Whats wrong with our country. Any one can go to hunger strike? How can an accuse of assassination of none other but countries' Prime Minister has guts to do that. Does she realize the depth of crime she has committed? I don't care how many years of imprisonment she has served and whether her only kid has no one else to look after. All I know is :she is an accused of murder of PM. No matter what her circumstances were and why she committed that heinous crime. Whether she was ignorant or not. But I want everyone to know that there is no escape route once you are involved is such an act. So think not once or twice but hundred times.

Also whats wrong with Ms. Sonia Gandhi and Ms Priyanka Gandhi? With due respect want to say that Don't look at Nalini as a murderer of husband or father. Please don't try to take any political advantage by advocating early release for her. She is a murderer of Prime Minister of India. Entire country lost a valuable and honorable leader. She deserves no empathy.

She should remain behind bars until she dies. Be it due to hunger strike or suicide or natural death.

Pardon me for my harsh comments.

Hmmm...very honest and passionate :) I know that she's committed a heinous crime, but my heart goes out to her child. The child should be taken care of, with or without her. But I find the bigger act of forgiving an amazing thing...maybe coz i could never do it. The Gandhis' are probably doing it for political reasons...but i admire somebody like Mrs. Staines who forgave her family's murderer. It takes a different level of humanity, to go beyond your human nature and do something divine. That said, I think Nalini should be taken to task...but i wonder at the things that made her do what she did.

hmmm,I just can't agree. May be kid should not suffer for what parents have done. But then its his destiny.Should'nt parents act more responsibly. And how much will his mother be able to help him? Hasn't she already done enough damage to him. Don't you think kid is just an excuse.I just dont see any difference being made in kids life with her release. Only point I can agree to :kid should not be discriminated for his parent's actions.

What if after 5 years Kasab starts the same thing. Will we again favor his forgiveness?Don't you think we should set an example by executing these people than showing humanity to those who don't understand it?
